Hi i really need some help. I bought a 13Bre Cosmo and it came with cut Loom http://www.nopistons.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif and i also have the ecu for it. I dont have enough $$$ to buy an aftermarket ecu but i have an Rx7 s5 and s6 loom+ s5 ecu, in my posession. So my question to you dear fellows is can i use the s5 or the s6 loom wiring with the Cosmo inputs to wire up my engine from the Ecu to engine????

Is it "DO-ABLE"? if yes i would also like to use the s5 coils, leads, ect.
Also im now going to be running a single to4e turbo with the cosmo and i have gotten rid of the pesky "RATS NEST" Lolhttp://www.nopistons.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

If its not do-able what other rx7 wiring could i use for the job, because i cant find cosmo wiring anywhere here in New Zealand. Would it be better if i use s5 ecu with its loom??

Please help me out..
Thanks
Jay

Ive never done it myself, but im pretty sure you can run the Cosmo on the S5 turbo ECU+harness.
Its been a while since I looked into it.

we did it with the S5 ecu and harness, its almost plug an play on the motor.

if you didnt get the coils and dash harness with the cosmo ECU, its not worth doing. wiring diagram is floating around, but its in japanese only

Your best bet is to do a s5 ecu with the corresponding engine harness. then you just use the terminals on the RE. I am great at wiring and its not that hard once you have the wiring diagram. Keep your self organized and write down any extensions you do on a paper and what color wires you used. also write down what color wire you mated to what color with for future reference and keep these notes in a safe place TRUST ME.

yeah that is s5 now that im looking at it it doesn't give you wire colors?????

Use the Cosmo plugs just splice in one bye one there are not to many wires once you remove all the emissions crap. It will take a while to sort it all but can be done. Like i said keep organized label wires as you go identifying them.

Im not sure you can. Just go with the FC coils they are solid units. my buddy just dynoed his gt45r half bridge 13b-RE art 497 whp with stock fc coils and a microtech he did not use the igniters but the coils are pretty much bullet proof
