I still have to "work" it to get the inner part into shape, its raw and soldered I havent done any dremel work on it yet

If, by "soldered" you mean Silver solder or German silver or, Silflosed, then it looks good to me. Have it above the pan bottom by about 1/4" minimum. It should be great.

I meant welded.

I was kinda tired yesterday.

Good tip on the distance to the bottom of the oil pan ;)
