I guess no one saw my reply one of the 50-something threads about wheels.

CP Racing carries a conversion kit.

:D

*EDIT* It's in the drivetrain section.

I dunno if the 1st gen and 2nd gen bolt patterns are the same,so forgive me for asking; Will that work on a 88?

According to CP racing, all other RX-7s have this same bolt pattern.

I don't have first-hand knowledge, but I trust them.

Maybe someone can shed some light?

Eh,I wanted to do a 5 lug conversion, for when I change out the rear end.

Oh well, I guess I will have to do a custom re-drill anyway.

Now, SUPPOSEDLY, I heard CP was coming out with a big brake kit as well
which would convert to a 5 lug pattern as well.

But I haven't heard anything more on that.

CP Racing appears to be the shit.

As soon as I get my car I plan on doing the steering conversion and possibly more suspension work like the rollcage and sway bars from them.

I'm talkin' about the CP Racing conversion. It only comes in 4x110. I wish they had it for 4x114.3. I'd be all over that shit.

If anyone is interested in doing the 4 to 5 lug swap, I had a machine shop do this work for me and they have engineered an excellent solution, and they have a much larger following than CP Racing.

MRC Manufacturing/ReSpeed Online

It requires you to *acquire* 4 piston calipers and 5 lug hubs. At $174.99 it's pretty tough to beat.

Ask for Billy and tell him Chad sent you.

Yes. I have an '85 GS as well. The GSL-SE was only offered in '84 and '85 I believe.
