im just about to start my porting.my plans are to follow these rules, what do u think?

* will be porting opening edge no more than 10.8-11mm from the coolant seal edge as i have stock corner seals with rubber plugs.
* not touching the inside edge at all where oil control rings are ok
* going upwards but keeping fairly right angled in upper opening corner
* keeping that same corner above closing path to protect side seal upon closing
* bevelling and smoothing close edge as much as possible to protect side seal edge as it passes corner of port.
porting the runner towards the closing corner while keeping the venturi

this seems like the basic rules.

First post! Nice forum, I'm already sold. About glass surfaces in ports and carbs: surely you wouldn't want a glass wall even with injection? Is there any positive effects for "laminar" flow in you ports?
