is mazdaspeed brand parts really directly produced by mazda? i've heard things saying otherwise. sometimes i see two different mazdaspeed logos. i'm wondering because if they are produced by some other company i don't think i would be more bias to buy their parts, specifically because they don't have the same quality/r&d. i have not looked into other car makers 'racing' depts. but why would mazda make 'aftermarket' parts that would void warranty? or do they? if they didn't void warranty and improved performance they must be quality parts correct? i also see the parts on sites like japanparts.com and it seems like they are a distributor just like any other shitty japanese parts company. anyway, mazdaspeed parts on a mazda would be the highest jdm bling parts you could prolly throw together but in my opinion if it's not actual mazda parts then what's the point?

Parts is parts. How many parts on a Mazda automobile are actually "produced" by Mazda? They probably source them from dozens of vendors around the world. If the aftermarket stuff is officially licensed to carry the Mazdaspeed brand, then you hope Mazda has done some homework and given them their stamp of approval.

I know racign beat makes some of the parts..but what does it matter...their mazdaspeed parts are probably over priced anyway. and what percentage of each car do you think is actually made by the car company....must car companies don't even forge their own engine blocks.

there are 2 seporate mazdaspeeds. one you can go to your local mazda dealer and buy well thats if there a mazdaspeed dealer, most covered under a warrenty and will not void any warrenty of the vehical but you need to pay attention to what you buy. the second is a mazdaspeed out of japan wich is the real deal and not ofiliated with mazda. the japan mazdaspeed sells more parts for more of mazdas car line and at a much better quality as well.

i was really more concerned with 88redt2 was saying. aftermarket parts that are actually produced with function and quality in mind and mazda puts the mark of approval on it. basically what i want to know is when i buy a mazdaspeed part, am i buying just another shitty shelf part, or an approved part from mazda that works and lasts?

we ordered in some mazdaspeed stuff and its all the JDM bling bling stuff. they do not sell most of the really cool stuff here though.

for most of the rest of mazda parts, mazda doesnt make em. theres a misubishi stamp on the alternator, the ecu is nippon denso, ngk makes the spark plugs, the apex seals come from germany etc etc. mazda basically designs the car, then buys all the parts, stamps metal into funny shapes, and assembles it.
