I hate my blackberry (work-issued). Some of the blackberry phones are cool, but you can't use them unless you get the blackberry-specific plan. I'd rather get a wi-fi card for my Moto Q and not have to worry about paying for the 'data plan".

admittedly i have always wanted to watch movies, take horrible photos and type lengthy emails all from the comfort of a 3x4 screen so that my friends and family will not only think i am illiterate, but also into taking out of focus photos of strange shit they are totally unable to figure out what it is or was or whatever. You see i've been totally inconvenience by being forced to take quality photos with my digital camera and add them into emails with nice literate messages using a fullsize keyboard and even more unfortunate is my being forced to watch movies on my tv, hell i can even tell which actor is which.

lol, adding video function to Ipods is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of.

At the same time we keep asking for bigger tv's, we want smaller portable thingies to do the same thing? (IMG:http://www.nopistons.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/post-1-1047683561.gif)

My buddy has a blackburry with a blackburry plan...and its rad. It has a GPS locator so you hit a button and it shows a mapquest like screen where you are than you can enter an address and itll compile a list of directions for you. Go online, get the phone book get a parts store an hour away, call them and get directions to the store at the same time while surfing porn and getting your e-mail all at the same time!

i prefer the can and string method.

I tried google maps on my blackberry, it's supposed to use the GPS to put me on the map. I think it put me about 1/2 mile away from my actual position.

I like my smart phone for the mp3 player, and the personal organizer stuff (to-do list, calendar). If it didn't have that, I'd have to carry around a phone, a small note pad, and an ipod. I can't survive without an electronic device reminding me about appointments, meetings, and b-days.

I'd forget to enter into the PDA any important shit so there's no point in owning one to begin with.

had it 2 days now. I like it, im rarely home so the email is nice to have but not really a huge deal. Most the time though im not home for days at a time and even though i have a laptop with me theres no internet so this should work pretty well for me. The apps i've found make it even more worth while though.

You should be able to use your phone to connect your laptop to the internet, if there's a need for that.
