Midnight Madness

Off to the track tonight for midnight madness. Hoping to help a local 3rd gen guy get in the 12's. Fd with most all the bolt ons and a ported engine. Going to run some slicks. Going to drink some beer and have a good time.

Fatal Car Crash By My House Last Night

Last night I had some people over and we were eating a bushel of crabs and drinking beer late into the night. At about midnight we were sitting out on the back patio and we heard a car with a cat back running fast down the hill, then a quick squeal and a large thud and then dead silence.

It was really weird because for some reason we were all listening to this car as it drove by so when we heard the crash it was surreal. We were all kind buzzing but I told my wife to call 911 and then a group of people from my house jumped in the car to go try to help.

My wife and I sat here at the house and listened as the sirens all came in. Then we waited to see how long till everyone else got back. The people who went up there were a few guys from here and my dad.

When they got back they were all shaken up pretty bad, my old man was in tears. Apparently the car was possibly a WRX it had five young guys in the car. It was going up the hill and as the road turns past the train tracks it veers to the right. The driver was drinking a speeding and lost control and went straight into a tree. The car was ripped open. The car was on it pass side from what I was told. They said two guys were in the road. One was awake and seemed to be in shock but had his wits to him. The other was missing a foot and was in bad shape.
One guy got decapitated and his head was in the road next to the guy missing the foot. Some of the guys were pinned in the car. My dad supposedly held the guy that was pinned up and tried to calm him down.
From everyone?s description the whole scene was gruesome and hard to take in.

We still don't know all the details since it just happened last night. Three of the guys died and the other two were flown out on a helicopter. We are not sure if they made it or not.

I don't know what to say all in all I am sad that this has happened.
