gave an interesting job interview today

Today this guy came by for a flight instructor position at the school we've been trying to fill. He was if I had to guess in his upper 40's. His resume was impressive, years of experience as a pilot, did airlines, and lots of instructing. A bonus is he wouldn't be like one of the many young guys we hire that are here to give shitty instruction and then bail a few months later. Well the intereview went well and it was time to wrap things up. The guy said "there is one more thing I have to tell you, I have a criminal background". Ok I said. "I can give you any details you like, but it happened back in 98, I was on 5 years probation, and clear now. Do you have any questions, I can provide numbers to call and answer anything you like." Hmm, ok, well what was it? "Ok, well, I was convicted of having sex with a minor". Well.....how old was she huh?? "She was 15 at the time, ya know, 15 going on 25". Ah........(insert speachless awkward silence)....well we've all been there! I'll probably hire him anways though, lol. He did some jail time, did his probation, was released early from therapy and deamed good for society I guess.

Yesterday morning I had a spur of the moment flight come up. A group of business guys that deal in vegetables, which is big business in Mexico, needed a pilot to fly them to Palm Springs California. Sounded like fun so I crammed all their shit in my plane and the 5 of us were off. I wasn't exactly prepared for this trip so I had no extra clothes or anything, but screw it. We get there and who picks me up....the girl who inherited the fruit punch company. She had big fake boobies and a nice convertible. Takes me to the hotel, or resort rather. Its mega fucking fancy and I enjoy the all expense paid evening in my room. Take a nap in my hot tub and its about time to get some food. Well these guys just wrapped up their meetings or whatever, call me up, and tell me someome will be over to pick me up. I arrive at a sushi bar. Well again I had no clothes for an evening on the town. So here I am sitting at the bar in my leather pilot jacket, drinking a beer, watching some football on the tv mounted on the wall, and surrounded by guys in suits referring to me as their private pilot. Needless to say I was popular. In fact I was having a hard time fending off the cougars, including Fruit Punch girl who kept trying to get me to drive her car, and some girl from Belgium that here on some vacation. I heard good things about the waffles. Well I stayed out till the bars closed down, got mega drunk, then flew back this morning. It was a blast and looks like there will be more of these trips coming up.

So I've officially grown up. I didn't realize it till Dramonkiller pointed out I'm the only guy wearing a shirt in this homely crowd of Indians. Oh, and I'm having a baby with my Phillippino girlie.
