Between tuning everyone elses' cars, I had a chance to tweak our Vert project a little more. It put down 435 rwhp @ 15.4 psi , I took it up to 7750 rpm and power was still climbing. It also put down 408rwhp at low boost of 12.5 psi. This is all done on pump gas. And just a note: it was 90F during the pulls

Basics: Ported 13B-RE, GT35R, FD PFC w/ our adapter

Full project details: Banzai Racing '91 Convertible Cosmo Conversion Interior

Load bearing Mustang Dynos are a far superior tuning tool. If I just wanted over-inflated HP #'s I would have gone to a Dynojet, true the Mustang reads a little lower, who cares?

what would it cost to build something in the same power level? or well maybe in the 500hp range?

Do you mind if I ask what A/R you're running on the turbine? Also what size injectors you're running? I haven't worked with any rotaries so I can't help to wonder how far into the rev-range the horsepower keeps on increasing. Have you taken it any higher to see where it starts to come down? I hoping to one day run a 13B-REW in my Datsun 260Z and I like how your dyno chart looks.

naracermcb- Whenever you start talking 400-500hp, it is not cheap, we probably have $15-$20K into this car, I haven't tallied it up. Here is the full mods list http://www.banzai-racing.com/vert_mo...tions_list.htm

Fujio- It is the .82 T4 hotside, this is actually the smallest that we will put on a rotary. This is our weekend cruiser, not a race car, so I was more convered with fast spool, then top end power. However it has performed very well, even with the restrictive (quiet) RB exhaust system. We have not taken it any higher on the dyno, been busy breaking in our 3 rotor FD.

Does it run excessively hot in the cooling department? Curious with the E-fan and the added turbo apparatus under the hood, or is the radiator just that good?

We do not have any cooling issues. Coolant temps jump a little when the A/C is on, but that is to be expected.
