for some reason i always come up with these stupid ideas and i don't know why but i have had the thought for a wile, and i was wondering if you could run a rotary off propane???it works with normal internal cumbustion engines why not rotary????

You can't use propane in a carb. Carbs have floats in them that "meter" or control the amount of fuel that is in them. These floats are sitting in LIQUID gasoline all the time. Liquid propane is extremely cold and needs to be compressed in order to be liquid (i think). It can run on a fuel injection system because of the high pressure (30-35psi) that they run at. Most carbs (weber,dellorto,holley) use about 1.8-10 psi of fuel pressure, the propane will "vapor lock" the carb and push the float bowl all the way up on its needle and seat and shut fuel off.
stick with EFI, it costs more, but its worth it!
