steering slop
I got an 82 rx7 with about 2-3" of slop.
what should I do?
I was told to ajust the box , but that 40mm is a pain to find , I'm gonna try to ajust it but if u have any avice hollA at me please., cause I don't wanna spend 600 bucks on a new manual box. will an ajustment work ? is that just a temp fix or is there some thing else I can do? please help

Re: steering slop
My `83 had about that much also.
Ended up replacing the steering box as the wear was just too great.
Also changed out the front end components. The tie rod ends were shot, the lower control arms were gone and the 2 bushings in the steering idler arm were worn out.
It is what it is.
I love old rotaries but bringing them back to factory specs can some times be a monetary pain.
