Man this sucks. I have my 12A mild port and it sat most of the summer, then I used it this week and noticed major gear lube drippin everywhere. I can see it probably originated in the front seal. It was leaking a little from time to time before though too, but not like this. Think that since it sat all summer the seal got brittle or something, because reving it past 7500rpm tends to cause a lot of pressure on the front seal I presume forcing lube out. Does anyone else ever have gear lube leaks from the front seal? What kind of job is it to replace it? I have had the tranny out before, but didn't mess with it. I'm building a bridgeport so I can do this when the current engine is out. Could a leak develop from a slight engine imbalance? I'd really like to tackle this problem soon!
