Hi all!



My FC3 gasped it's last breath. Lost compression in the forward rotor. I gave it to a friend who is putting a 302 V8 in it. I know Boo boo!...



However! I found an 84 FB3 GSL with 46K orig miles on it. The owner said it won't run. Paid him $800. Flushed the bad gas because it was sitting for a while. Adjusted the air intake a but and roasted them outa there.



That was in Feb of this year. Since then I flushed all fluids, some three times. My backyard mechanic; Rotors in motion, built an MSD style direct coil ignition. Advanced the timming. Electric fan. Dumped all the smog; where I live you only need to smog the vehicle during sale transactions = ). He had the intake and carb from his old 73 RX-2. I got it for $100. The carb is a Nikki with mechanical secondaries, all stripped down. My exhaust is straight through with a cherry bomb as a baffle;( where the THREE cats were on the stock exhaust, with a single stage flow master clone muffler. No header yet.



We cut the springs 2in. KYB strut cartridges up front. I also got the KYB GR2's for the rear but I sent them back because they were way too soft. I am running the stock Tokico's for the rear. Urethane all the way around. My mechanic fabricated a front strut brace and a rear shock brace. The rear brace mounts on the top of the shocks with the spherical ball ends.



Hmm...I am still not done because I am on a working tools budget. To date I have smoked a Mitsubishi eclipse; A slightly older naturally asperated one. I also smoked a 95 civic with a cold air intake and custom exahust.



The car is still not fast enough, but Rome was not built in a day.



So..I don't know if I should change my name from 13Bee, but my days of feul injected 6 ports are way over. This thing would eat my FC3 alive.



There is this kid with an RX-8 who has that Racing Beat Holly set up in town. I am dying to smoke him, but he won't race.



I don't get online that much because after 5+ years of being a computer tech and system admin; I hate computers.



Anyways; I love this forum and the information here has always been helpful.

Scratch that. It must be stock. I was told it had some set up like that, but those are all injected right? Hmmm oh well.



Any RX-8 owners near Lake Co Ca. who want to run?
