Default 1979 fuel tank replacement options

I'm in the middle of restoring the rx7 I grew up with. It's sat for 20+ years so there's obviously some nasty things going on inside the tank. Do I clean/coat it or is there a plastic alternative of some sort out there somewhere that fits?

I actually sent mine to a place where the did the ReNu process. Came back brand new but it took over $500 plus another $160 to fix the sending unit. Sending unit went to rad shop in NY.

Look at the dealer network section.

I looked into fuel cell, but you'll spend more doing that!
